Meet Minnie and Mary

Ms. Minnie was known for her comforting dishes, generous heart, and joyful spirit, always singing her favorite gospel songs while cooking, filling the kitchen with music, love, and the sweet smell of homemade meals. Minnie was affectionately known as Ms. Minnie in her community.

Every Friday, Mrs. Minnie prepared her special Friday Fish not only for her own family, but enough to feed her community, especially those she felt might not have had a meal.

Ms. Minnie also used her meals to give back, often preparing dishes to fundraise for church events and community gatherings.

Minnie's Signature Favorites Include, Every Friday Fish, Classic Chess Pies, Homemade Banna Pudding, and her Meat sauce spaghetti, with onion, garlic, bell pers and rich seasonings creating a rich flavor

Ms. Mary was known for her patience, loving hands, and joyful personality. She had a natural ability to bring happiness to those around her, often sharing laughter and creating a welcoming, lighthearted environment in the kitchen.Her cooking reflected that same warmth and care. From her homemade caramel icing prepared on the stove to her flavorful turnip greens cooked with pork or turkey, every dish was made with attention and heart. She was especially known for her homemade dressing, made from scratch with cornbread, onion, celery, and her favorite blend of seasonings.
